ENVIRONMENT

  • Rising temperatures and extreme weather events cannot be ignored. Joel is committed to disincentivizing the burning of fossil fuels: natural gas, coal, and oil.

  • Every Utahn deserves to breathe clean air. We must address pollution from our industrial sources, transportation sector, and homes and buildings.

  • The public lands are the glory of Utah. It is critical we protect these lands and honor their legacy.

EDUCATION

  • Fight for consistent, full funding for our children’s schools.

  • Improve childhood education by making preschool available to every family that wants it.

  • Our schools must be safe for every student. We must work on funding and legislation to provide schools and families with the mental health resources they need.

LGBTQ+ MENTAL HEALTH

  • The Legislature has paid serious attention to the increasing rate of suicide by young people in Utah.

  • LGBTQ+ youth suicide rates are significantly higher than other young Utahns.

  • We must work on legislation together to protect this group of Utahns.
